Robert Eggers' Nosferatu Gets Release Date and First Look at Lily-Rose Depp
Lily-Rose Depp fears for her life in the first look at Robert Eggers' Nosferatu, which now has a set release date.
Robert Eggers presents his own version of the most famous vampire in the first look at the remake of Nosferatu, which is now set to hit theaters on December 25, 2024. Bram Stoker's Dracula has been brought to the screen numerous times, but the first to adapt the acclaimed story was Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau in 1922 with Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens. The movie proved controversial for not officially adapting Stoker's novel, and instead making minor changes to try and avoid the inevitable lawsuit. Despite Stoker's widow gaining a court ruling that all versions of the movie were to be purged, some copies remained hidden away by collectors, whereby the movie's survival was assured.
