James Gunn Compares 'Superman' Cast Size to Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer'
Despite a large ensemble cast, 'Superman' will still focus on the title hero and has fewer speaking roles than the 2023 Best Picture winner.
Ever since it was announced that James Gunn's Superman movie would include a slew of DC characters outside the titular hero, fans have been concerned about it being overcrowded. Superman will feature various characters from across the DC Comics canon, not generally related to the Man of Steel, including Mr. Terrific, Hawkgirl, Metamorpho, Guy Gardner, and The Engineer, along with iconic supporting characters like the staff of the Daily Planet. However, Gunn has assured fans there is nothing to be concerned about, citing Christopher Nolan's Academy Award Best Picture winner as a point of comparison.
