'Wicked' Broadway Stars' Cameos Were Almost Very Different
Broadway stars Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth almost had very different cameos in the 'Wicked' movie, explains director John M. Chu.
For longtime Wicked fans, the thought of a film adaptation NOT including at least a nod to the original Broadway stars — Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth as Elphaba and Glinda — was damn near impossible. And thankfully, the film's director (and self-professed musical fan) Jon M. Chu agreed.
