Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. are eyeing Gareth Edwards to take over for Denis Villeneuve after 'Dune: Messiah.'
When Denis Villeneuve signed on to adapt Frank Herbert's magnificent Dunenovel series, he envisioned a trilogy focusing on the first two books, Dune and Dune: Messiah, of the six-book series. His sole focus was on Paul Atreides and the story of his rise to power as the Emperor of the Imperium. From there, he believes the story becomes even more convoluted to adapt into film and keep the audience engaged.
