'State of Affairs' From the Creator of ‘The Recruit’ Deserves a Second Look

Season 2 of The Recruit has been much better than the first. While Season 1 only had a 68% Tomatometer score, the second chapter came in strong with 91%, making it one of the best-reviewed seasons of any spy show. This is hardly surprising, considering the stakes are way higher this time. In his second outing, CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo) finds himself in Seoul, where he has to help South Korea's National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent, Jang Kyun (Teo Yoo), deal with a Yakuza problem. The entire saga is linked to a cryptocurrency jointly developed by the CIA and NIS.
