Scott Derrickson Says Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross Are the Soul of 'The Gorge'

You might not expect a film by Scott Derrickson (Sinister, The Black Phone) to feature a sexy dance scene set to a song by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but you get it in The Gorge, his new horror romance coming to Apple TV+ on Feb. 14. "All the needle drops, those are all choices that I made, that I felt were right for those scenes," explained Derrickson in a recent interview with MovieWeb. "I wanted there to be a real dance number instead of a sex scene. It was kind of more of a sex scene in the script. And I was like, 'That's not romantic enough.' You know, I want to stretch it out.
