John Rhys-Davies Teases Gimli's 'Lord of the Rings' Return in 'The Hunt for Gollum'
Viggo Mortensen and Ian McKellen are already confirmed for Andy Serkis' 'Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum' and John Rhys-Davies might join them.
The nextLord of the Rings movie, The Hunt for Gollum, already has Viggo Mortensen's sword, and it might have Orlando Bloom's bow. Now, John Rhys-Davies said that Gimli will proudly offer his axe if he's called to star in the movie. The new movie is set to be released in December 2027 (although this is potentially subject to change as the film has already been delayed once). Mortensen (Aragorn) and Ian McKellen (Gandalf) are already confirmed to star in the movie, and fans are now expecting several other core members of the Fellowship to appear.
