While Final Destination 5 was profitable and regarded by many critics as the franchise’s best sequel, the series and its core audience needed a rest. After a nearly 14-year wait, Final Destination: Bloodlines revitalized the long-dormant franchise in spectacular fashion. In addition to becoming the franchise’s best-reviewed installment, Final Destination: Bloodlines has emerged as the first breakout box-office hit of the summer box-office season.
