Home Alone was one of those movies that brought our worst childhood nightmares to life in the most entertaining way. It saw a young Kevin McCallister (played by Macaulay Culkin), without the aid of his family, saving himself and his home from two unwanted burglars, Harry and Marv. However, instead of brute force, Kevin relied extensively on carefully laid out traps and mischievous antics. The movie, as fans can recall, was an instant hit, and even went on to spawn a media franchise that somehow endures to this day.
