Great Indie Movies Released in 2024

2024 had a slew of big-hitters at the box office, with the three highest-grossing films being Inside Out 2, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Moana 2. Of course, they're all Disney films. In fact, seven of the top 10 highest-grossing 2024 films came from just two distributors, Disney and Universal. Between those two and Paramount, Sony, and Warner Bros. Pictures, only five companies distributed or co-distributed the 29 highest-grossing films of last year. The 30th highest-grossing film, The Beekeeper, came from Amazon MGM, not exactly from a tiny company.
