George R.R. Martin Addresses 'Winds of Winter' Delays and 'Game of Thrones' Fans' Complaints

Game of Thrones scribe, George R.R. Martin, might be the most simultaneously loved and loathed author currently working. His flagship dark fantasy series is one of the best-selling fantasy series of all time, and that was before HBO adapted it into the hit series, Game of Thrones, and the spin-off, House of the Dragon. But, as his attention has turned to the Game of Thrones TV universe, Martin's next novel in the series, Winds of Winter, has taken a backseat... for 13 years! Because of the long delay, fans have formed their own, often aggravated opinions about why the book has been delayed, with some believing that George R.R. Martin has given up on the novels altogether. But the author is here to set the record straight, while simultaneously taking a cheeky jab at the overly disgruntled fans.
